Bulk Logistics Optimisation intends to make additional work available to hauliers via a new digital platform. It could be delivering or loading sugar beet or moving other bulk products such as limestone or LimeX to, from, or between British Sugar factories.

What actions are we taking?

We are working hard to maximise the opportunities available to hauliers and our industry partners. We want to help our partners make their fleet operate as efficiently as possible, minimising empty running as much as possible.

To do this, we intend to create a new digital platform that allows hauliers and industry partners to consider and accept any available movements of bulk products. This will make it easier for hauliers to take advantage of opportunities to increase the revenue from their vehicles and provide growers with more cost-effective delivery of co-products from the factory.
